General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)
The foreman Kitchen supervises and coordinates activities of pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen workers as well as purchases, kitchen supplies, and equipment.
He / she inspects kitchens, workrooms, storerooms, and equipment for cleanliness and order. The Foremen Kitchen is responsible for coordinating work of non-cooking kitchen and storeroom workers engaged in activities such as dishwashing, and storage and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies.
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
High school diploma required
Tertiary level education in Tourism and Hotel Business Administration or related careers or proven experience in lieu of it.
Valid food handlers certificate / Health card
Previous hotel experience an asset
1-2 experience
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
Instructing - Teaching others how to do something.
Monitoring - Monitoring / Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Lead and Supervise the Stewarding Team and all kitchen helpers in all aspects of the department and ensure Cobre Panama standards are followed.
Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other assigned areas in accordance with the Cobre Panama health standards.
Assist with ongoing development of Stewards and Kitchen helpers by ensuring any feedback is documented and performance issues are reported so that supervisory and management teams can apply a consistent and proactive approach to enhance service levels.
Ensure Kitchen and dining areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaning schedules are followed and completed
Assist in the stock take of equipment and other items as required.
Assist and / or carry out logistical activities, such as transportation and / or driving of vehicles, personnel, materials, equipment and supplies to and from work areas, camps and other company facilities, as required by the supervisor.
Observe OSHA guidelines when handling hazardous substances and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety requirements.
Perform related functions as required.

Operational Requirements
Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.
