You will be part of the Global Freight & Logistics / Trade Compliance (GFLT) procurement organization and work as a Global Commodity Manager, reporting to the Procurement Director Outbound Transportation and be responsible for managing the procurement of our global Trade & Compliance expenditure.
The candidate will be able to provide a key contribution to our Logistics / Trade Compliance Procurement transformation and will be able to implement best practices in areas such as risk management, cost management and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities Developing and executing strategic sourcing plans that enable the sustainable achievement of our cost improvement and service level goals Enhancing internal stakeholder engagement that enables opportunity for increased procurement contribution to business challenges within the Trade Compliance category.
Driving mechanisms to better understand key cost drivers within the Trade Compliance category and keeping abreast of market dynamics that will ensure a continued advantaged position for Dell Increasing the visibility of spend and the portion of spend actively managed Developing an external reference framework for cost and process benchmarking and improve performance relative to benchmarks Progressing productive working relationships with our key suppliers and enable supplier innovation through the leadership of a multi-tier supplier relationship strategy Leveraging advanced negotiating techniques, as appropriate, in commercial, contractual and service level dialog with suppliers Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain or related field Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships internally & externally and influence across multiple layers of the organization Distinctive problem solving leadership Strong analytical capability Excellent communication and synthesizing skills (both written and verbal) Able to leverage advanced negotiation techniques to progress the sustainable achievement of cost, contractual and service level goals Desirable Requirements MBA or post graduate degree preferred 3 years+ experience working within a large Trade & Compliance organization preferred 5 years+ procurement experience working within a large, global, center-led Logistics organization (3 years+ considered for candidates with MBA or post graduate degree) Benefits We offer highly competitive salaries, bonus programs, world-class benefits, and unparalleled growth and development opportunities all to create a compelling and rewarding work environment.
