The role is based at our regional office in Panama. You will become part of the Svitzer Americas team tasked with supporting the overall strategy of the Svitzer group, with a focus in Americas.

Key responsibilities

The Regional Controlling Analyst will be responsible for ensuring quality of financial reporting in the Group’s financial consolidation system One Stream, supporting clusters with technical accounting questions they may have, prepare monthly financial analysis on SG&A, operational cost, working capital among others and support as required with the preparation and review of internal controls for the Region.

The main tasks for this position are :

  • Ensure timely and high quality of financial reporting in accordance with the Group’s accounting policy
  • Generate reports that ensure control of cost, cash, working capital performance transparency to management and which also allows proper performance management discussions
  • Prepare and support in the review of internal controls
  • Handle credit card program and the expense management system

  • We are looking for

    An individual who is methodical, analytical, data-driven and persistent, with the ability to keep a clear mind in a busy and dynamic environment

    with a great variety of tasks.

    Further we expect that you have :

  • Accounting degree
  • Experience with financial reporting and consolidation
  • High proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Fluent Spanish and good knowledge of written English. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines and deliver high-quality output
  • High level of organization and rigorous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and well organized.
  • Capable of working towards agreed objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a global business environment with a strong sense of cultural diversity.
