General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)
Providing support to the MIS Engineer with MineStar Fleet, Terrain, Health, DSS, Rajant Mesh, and Surface Manager software deployment, hardware configurations, and system optimization through monitoring and analysis.
Manage the MIS in field technicians' day-to-day activities.
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
A Bachelor of Information Technology or relevant degree and five years’ relevant experience or equivalent is highly regarded.
Experience supporting operational critical systems in a 24x7-production environment.
Experience with a Fleet Management systems i.e. MineStar, EDGE, Modular, Jigsaw
Experience with precision GPS mining systems or equivalent.

Computers and Electronics Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Telecommunications Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
Proficiency in Spanish and English is highly regarded.
Deductive Reasoning The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Software and Technical support to all Fleet Management platforms.
Configuration and maintenance of MineStar Fleet, MineStar Health, DSS CPU, MineStar Terrain and High Precession GPS Applications.
Configuration of DSS fatigue modules consisting of DSS processor units, IR pods, dash cameras, speakers and vibrating units.
Software calibration of high precision applications.
Active monitoring of on board files
Flashing of HIM’s as required.
G407 and G610 on board file maintenance, software updates and calibrations.
Software maintenance and periodic network analysis of the in pit Mesh Network for maximum availability.
Assist geotechnical and de-watering with software deployments and systems management tasks.
Lease directly with Maintenance Department for hardware replacements, new installations and in field repairs to ensure maximum systems availability.
Maintain Server and application platforms, user accounts and rights.
Perform other related duties as required.

Operational Requirements
Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.
