This Director will lead and guide the LATAM Integrated Data Dissemination Strategy through the Customer Engagement area, including iCustomize, Continuous Medical Education activities, content strategy.

G e n e r a l Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate management and execution of the following activities, under its responsibility :
  • iCustomize : Define the right messages and communication channel to approach our external stakeholders by identifying the correct segment and customizing the MAF approach strategy according to the business objectives.
  • Continued Medical Education (CME) : Ensure proper harmonization of the Medical Activities in LATAM and execution of all Medical Education events supporting IBVT strategy.
  • Support Key scientific message alignment and dissemination cross-clusters for all TAs. MSLs trainings and onboarding and metrics follow up.

  • Evidence generation and Publication : Participation of all IEGP / CMAR discussions, Oversight and follow up of evidence generation and publication plans to ensure alignment on business needs, optimizing existing activities in collaboration with GCO-MAO and RWE teams.
  • Internal SA / MAF Communication channels : MAF Hubs, LATAM MAF Bulletin and IEGP Newsletters.
  • Omnichannel Content Strategy Oversight : Drive the evolution of Medical Affairs, supporting the planning & implementation of omnichannel customer engagement strategies and activities, with a mission to optimize interactions with HCPs in a compliant manner.
  • Working closely with the IBVTs, internal support functions and agency partners on all phases of execution of integrated omnichannel plans.

  • Ensure integration and synergy among Local operating companies and regional and Global strategies.
  • Act as the Latin American expert for Customer Engagement Activities whenever needed or requested, representing the region in Global Forums related to it.
  • Position Customer Engagement Area as a talent leader by attracting, developing and managing core talent to build an organization that is responsive and proactive in building capabilities for the future to create a diverse, high performing medical organization.
  • The following processes and activities fall under the direct responsibility of this position :
  • Build a broader talent pipeline for the future needs of the Regional medical affairs organization.
  • Ensures medical staff is abreast of every initiative and procedure.
  • Ensuring group is compliant with all requirements and training.
  • Ensure engagement and high functioning Credo based culture in the organization
  • Management of the following areas :

    Team of approx. 15 Janssen employees and external parties.

  • Continued Medical Education (CME) : including Scientific Knowledge and logistics / administrative teams
  • Evidence generation, data dissemination & Publication
  • Internal SA / MAF Communication Channels
  • Omnichannel Medical content team
  • Educational Level

  • Any Health care career, experienced in MAF and / or Scientific Affairs (MI, PV and medical compliance operations).
  • Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish. Portuguese language knowledge is preferable.
  • Competencies : Direct Leadership skills, learning agility, Strategic Planning, Problem solving and Process oriented. Result driven.
  • Operational expertise. PV and compliance Knowledge.


  • Experience in Pharma Industry;
  • ability to work effectively in a complex and diverse organization;
  • experience working in a highly matrixed organization with proven capabilities in influencing across the matrix;
  • Deep understanding in pharmacovigilance and customer services operations.
  • Knowledge of 5 core LATAM markets (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Central America) and of Pharma business.
