Job description : Purpose
Working with mechanical maintenance on Compressors and Blowers equipment related to them.
Reporting into the Supervisor, the Compressor Specialist provide technical data and information, as required, to line management.
Ensure that safety aspects are fully compliance with regulations and best practices. Participate creating SOP’s and provide feedback from them to line management.
Execute PM’s and maintenance tasks related to area of responsibility. Also to provide training with the Panamanian employees.
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the process plant control room.
Promote safe, healthy and fair work environment.
The Maintain of the Compressed Air and Blower Circuits across the Entire Process Plant.
Execute maintenance plan to meet established targets.
Collaborate with E&M team and related functions to optimize efficiencies.
Ensures adherence by all discipline crafts to safety, quality, schedule and performance expectations.
Provide workforce with information and technical direction required to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner and to the level of quality expected.
Ensures scheduled requirements are communicated to all levels of discipline and coordinates the interpretation of technical requirements.
Ensures compliance to all standards and procedures within the bounds of all applicable policies.
Control, report and reduce operational costs, and ensure cost consideration taken with all decisions.
Provide daily work plan to operations staff and ensure all necessary work permits are obtained.
Ensure all maintenances activities are executed by qualified, trained personnel with applicable certification and verification of competency.
Ensure all preventive and predictive maintenance plans are planned and scheduled via a computerized maintenance management system.
Ensure update of the database of maintenance activities of work performed.
Provide reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Implement FQM Way culture in the Control Room team - "Bolder, Smarter, Driven, Together."
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Engineering Degree related to the speciality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
5 years in mechanical maintenance including heavy experience in Compressors and Blowers would be advantage.

Fluency in Spanish is required and proficiency in English highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.

Cobre Panama is a remote site and the position is offered as Non Residential or FIFO.
