Distribution Transformation Product Manager

Key responsibilities

Responsible for transforming and optimizing the distribution of mobile financial services to our wallet customers through digital solutions.

Product development & delivery :

  • Responsible for ideation, planning & execution
  • Collaborate with customers & colleagues to develop new ideas for features & products
  • Prioritize features & products based on customer, commercial & strategic value
  • Measure and communicate product performance to stakeholders
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Deep research of user needs, the market & technology
  • Model the value of product improvements to the customer
  • Develop and get buy-in for the product strategy
  • Sequence new features & product improvements in a roadmap
  • Generate, maintain & prioritize the Product Backlog

  • Identify real customer problems to be solved through ideation with customers & colleagues
  • Turn customer problems into a Product Backlog
  • Gather detailed requirements relating to new features & products
  • Turn requirements into the artefacts developers need to get new features & products to market : e.g. user stories, process maps and detailed workflows
  • Refine the Product Backlog by ensuring each user story has acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize & maintain the Product Backlog
  • Accelerate growth

  • Define and implement strategies to accelerate penetration and growth of product usage, across countries.
  • Desired skills

  • Proven experience in a Product Owner / Product Manager role preferably in Fintech or Payments
  • Experience using Agile frameworks
  • Ability to define a product backlog
  • Very strong product delivery skills : always shipping new features & products
  • Extremely high analytical and commercially sharp
  • Top notch stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence colleagues in small, cross-functional scrum teams
  • Excellent team working skills, ability to manage own workload and tenacious attention to detail
  • Communication skills & highly collaborative capacity are imperative where the clarity of his communications will determine how effectively cross-functional tasks are executed across engineering teams.
  • Exceptional service, results oriented individual with superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven track record of delivering successful fintech products
  • Experience with complex execution programs and high-paced environments, managing fast delivery processes, interacting with business actors and end users to achieve desired product features / offering.
  • Desired professional experience

    5+ years' experience as a product manager / product owner in fintechs or financial services.

    Relevant experience in transforming and digitalizing distribution networks.

    Strong experience in building and managing global teams.

    Strong understanding and experience of Agile frameworks

    Experience managing Agile teams with proven track record of success.

    Experience working with best-of-breed technologies for delivering web and mobile experiences.

    Desired Education profile

    BA / Masters degree in business, computer science, engineering or an equivalent in working experience.
