Use your skills and experience in a high paced, dynamic Global Operational Material Management (OMM) Organization that is responsible for getting the right parts to the right place at the right time.
You will place orders with suppliers and monitors the outstanding order package in terms of delivery time, quality and price.
Calls out semi-finished products within framework contracts. Order goods from suppliers. Monitors the outstanding order package in terms of delivery time, quality and price.
You are responsible for
Use of SAP for on-time Order Placement and Management
Works closely with the Planning teams to ensure supply / demand alignment
Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance
Ensure availability of components to meet manufacturing and / or engineering requirements
Timely and professional resolution of any supply issues, including the escalation process as appropriate
Ensure master data accuracy on SAP
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships (up to senior mgmt. level)
Set up and install the appropriate re-ordering mechanisms for each component, whether BoM, Engineering spares, Consumables, etc
Work closely with all Value Streams to drive towards continuous improvement. (To include new front end solutions in line with future value stream mapping)
Optimize stock holding levels of purchased goods in line with the business needs
Work with Philips General Purchasing (PGP) and Purchasing to ensure proper and full execution of contracts and pricing agreements
Negotiate pricing and terms on certain No Products Related products, when appropriate
You are a part of
Operational Material Management (OMM) team based in our Global Business Support (GBS) office in Panama City. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this site is expanding.
OMM Product Planner will work very closely with Commodity Management, Manufacturing Leadership, OMM leadership, and Supply Chain Engineering teams that support multiple product lines.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
From 3 to 5 years of relevant experience planning and managing relationship with (Commercial) Organizations, Business groups, manufacturing teams and suppliers from an end-to-end supply chain perspective.
3+ years of practical experience with SAP
3+ years of relevant experience in direct Supplier Relationship Management desirable.
Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
Technical knowledge for maintenance parts purchases is a plus
Fluent English (Spoken and Written as a must)
