General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)
Fabricate and install pipework from Isometric drawings and GA Piping drawings.
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
2+ years’ experience in pipefitting in a similar environment
Must also be skilled in installing and assembling all manner of plant, equipment and piping
Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
Must have a thorough understanding of piping system testing.
Knowledge of pumps, industrial equipment, welding, general maintenance and troubleshooting all required.
A demonstrated ability to follow standardized process and work systematically.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Fluency in Spanish is required with English language competency optional.
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Ensure fellow employees work in compliance with H&S (e.g. isolation, lock out and tag out), quality and environmental standards and procedures.
Actively participate in HSE initiatives.
HDPE pipe assembly for sand discharge, drain water system, and other applications.
Fabricate and install pipework from Isometric drawings and GA Piping drawings
Actively work to attain the project schedules
Support the TMF operations with works on the field and the Sand Cyclone operation.
Knowledge of welding or fusion pipes using thermos-fusion machine for HDPE pipes-
Report to Supervision progress of daily tasks, necessary tools and materials needed, with particular emphasis on compliance with specific safety rules and quality standards
Order proper pipes and other materials.
Use saws, threading machines and cutting torches to craft proper pipe sizes.
Isolate steam from pipe section in conjunction with LOTO personnel.
Secure pipes to walls, fixtures and tanks using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
Resolve problems such as obstructions or holes and repair and maintain pipe systems and components.
Remove water from flooded manholes or basements.
Promote a positive employee environment ensuring a continuation of a solid working relationship with all employees.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Maintenance Foreman / Supervisor.

Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.
