Your Role and Responsibilities : Garage Designers in IBM's Garage are part of a cross-functional team that delivers a unique client co-creation experience to accelerate client transformation.

As part of an entrepreneurial team, you will lead UX and customer / user journey design for prioritized use cases and minimum viable skills (MVS), often reimagining how work is performed.

You will synthesize research, client insights and requirements to craft user experiences that connect people in meaningful, enduring ways with products, services, and brands.

You will apply information architecture, research, and evaluation in user design. You will facilitate and lead design sessions with clients and IBM team, using contemporary methods and tools.

You will connect the dots at both abstract and tactical levels as 50% of role is software focused and 50% is facilitating.

An ideal candidate is empathetic, expressive, inquisitive, and divergent. To be successful in this role you will need to : This is a unique role as you are a Designer leading customer interaction on Design Thinking, UX and UI solution.

Be skilled in both visual and UX design; have excellent written communication and storytelling skills Apply IBM Design Thinking methods, translating requirements into hypotheses, research, and facilitation to uncover emotional connections with products Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand stakeholder requirements and ensure that designs address user pain points and serve the users with an elite experience Build and maintain a trusted relationship with cross disciplinary IBM and client teams Turn ideas into reality with a focus on innovation and development of new processes, ways of work, and technology Demonstrate a growth mindset and continuous learning by staying up to date on the latest design tools and methods Provide support during discussions with prospective clients, help assess design needs for projects, with a senior designer, help to scope and craft design portion of proposals.

Upon commencement of engagement, help run design thinking workshops to arrive at minimum viable product (MVP) With input from product management and development, design for the best possible user experience of the MVP, while considering all client objectives and design thinking methods.

Assist in pulling together retrospective presentations to document for the client the value-add of design thinking to their specific project.
