Position : Athlete - Administrative Assistant
Department : Organizational Development
Supervisor : Program Development Manager
The administrative Coordinator and Program Development is SOLA's link with the Leading Athletes of Latin America to promote inclusive communities that allow the development of our athletes, supporting initiatives in the region, and office administrative procedures.
Responsibilities :
Work with the Program Development Manager to development in the development, dissemination, and implementation of training materials for the Athlete Leaders, Families, Young Athletes and Youth Activation initiatives.
Actively involve the region's leading athletes to promote the participation of athletes, families and youth in the development of the operating plans of the Programs.
Request feedback from athletes and family leaders on the operational plans of each Program in the region.
Establish and maintain ongoing communications with members of the Regional Athlete Council.
Support in the preparation and development of regional meetings.
Participate in regional meetings and other required events.
Collaborate with the Department of Marketing and Development of funds in meetings with sponsors, presenting the organization and the different initiatives.
Support with photocopies, binding and digitalization of documents.
Politely answer calls and direct them to the appropriate person promptly.
Greet visitors and serve them while they wait for the right person.
Deliver messaging.
Call suppliers to withdraw payment and deliver checks keeping track.
Carry out other activities related to the development of the position.
Qualifications :
Be committed to the Mission and Rules of Special Olympics.
Attend the meetings of the Athlete Leaders of the Program.
Communication and presentation skills.
Public speaking experience preferred.
Organizational, interpersonal skills.
Excellent ability to use MS Office applications
Status : Part-time
Special Requirements : Able to travel (on weekends as needed)
