In this role, you have the opportunity to

Provide Logistics support; route, dispatch, track and trace shipments. Monitor shipment schedules and perform data entry.

Act as point of contact for customers and provide outstanding customer service while meeting all customer expectations.

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Understand customer wide networks and transportation modes (OTR, LTL, Rail, Drayage, Ocean Containers, Parcel and Warehousing)
  • Understand daily capacity needs / opportunities and pro-actively communicate to appropriate leadership
  • Manage the complete logistics process in terms of transportation planning & execution
  • Tariff & rate management and transit time compliance management
  • Data accuracy maintenance, act as operations controller and monitoring of quality of shipments in Transport Management System
  • Proactive daily monitoring of all shipments
  • Communicate with carriers, shippers and customer teams to ensure trucks are properly loaded and unloaded; provide detailed directions / instructions to carriers as needed.
  • Update receivers and customers on load status as appropriate.

  • In case of missed mile stones, tracking of the shipment and drive the corrective actions to ensure recovery of shipment and a timely delivery
  • Optimize operations across the regions securing capacity leverage with carriers / freight, forwarders including service provider lane allocation
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Implement and drive global logistics processes standardization and cost control verification based on allocations and rates
  • Proactive communication with stakeholders

    This role is part of the Global Business Service team in Panama city, Panama

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 1 years of experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarder Logistics and / or Transportation roles
  • Excel Intermediate
  • Ability to work Independently and proactively
  • Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related
  • Advanced English
  • SAP and Transportation systems - required
  • Customer Service Oriented
