JOB PURPOSE : Provide a management development process to enhance the flow of qualified manufacturing experts and candidates for middle management.
Develop a pool of high-potential candidates for future positions that will open due to attrition. JOB DUTIES : This position will supervise personnel in the Operations environment.
Selected candidates enter into a 3 year developmental program that enable them to move throughout a variety of assignments in manufacturing planning and engineering, first line operations supervision, purchasing, logistics, quality, facilities engineering, and / or design engineering thus gaining a broad-based understanding of manufacturing.
The recruits will move through 3 or more multi-functional assignments to provide a broad base of experience. After approximately 12 months in this training position, the trainee will be given increasingly more difficult training assignments and be moved to the next training level.
This is the 1st rotation for the LTDP-Operations Leadership Track. BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE : A degree in one of the following : Business, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering / Technology, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering / Technology, or Supply Chain Management.
A GPA of 2.8 or higher is required. Satisfactory completion of LTDP-Operations Leadership 1 is required to advance to LTDP-Operations Leadership 2.
