Job description : Purpose
Carry out the activities of inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance of the electrical system of the Tactical equipment fleet, which includes vans, excavators, articulated trucks, large cranes, correctly using the tools and facilities provided, with full knowledge and respecting the policies of Loss Prevention and Environment.
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs of the electrical system of the Tactical equipment.
Carry out the inspection of the equipment in order to identify electrical conditions that may impact the correct operation of the equipment.
Carry out the evaluation, diagnosis, and electrical calibrations of the equipment to identify and monitor the operating conditions.
Carry out the change of electrical components of the equipment.
Comply with the procedures for prevention and care of the environment.
Comply with the procedures established for the execution of maintenance activities.
Generate, complete and close the work orders with the correct and timely information.
Prepare technical reports and failure analysis.
Maintain and properly use the tools and facilities provided.
Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop.
Know and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Internal regulations. Code of ethics and conduct. Loss prevention manual.
The responsibilities described above are the main ones developed by the position. The position also develops other activities that are not included in this document and the immediate supervisor is in charge of transmitting them

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Technical Studies in Mobile Equipment Maintenance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Basic knowledge in maintenance, repair and diagnosis of Tactical equipment for the mining industry, such as large capacity cranes, articulated trucks (ADT), excavators, crawler tractors, front loaders, service trucks, forklifts, vans, generators, compressors of air.
Basic knowledge of techniques in mechanical inspection activities.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
Basic knowledge in the processes for changing components and assembling equipment.
Basic knowledge in the use of diagnostic tools and instruments.
Basic knowledge in tire maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, part manuals in a basic way.
Capacity for teamwork.
Driver's license (not essential).
Five years of mobile equipment maintenance
Fluency in Spanish is required and proficiency in English highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.

Cobre Panama is a remote site. The position is offered as Residential BIBO.
Work hours and rosters may vary as required by the business.
