What's The Role?

The Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for logistics operations regarding the control, tracking, and Customs clearance of all incoming imported shipments for countries in scope, and coordinate exports as required for the markets assigned.

What You ll Do

  • Communicate the status of all shipments to the internal stakeholders across LLA ensuring that all transactions are within the allotted schedule.
  • Consolidate and report to the Global Logistics Manager the spend for every market assigned regarding international freights, brokerage, and every related matter.
  • Consolidate and report to the Global Logistics Manager the details of every single shipment across the organization to provide full visibility to internal stakeholders on shipment status.
  • Reconciliation of Supplier’s account, ensure account with AP is up-to date
  • Responsible for successfully running logistics operation in scope within LLA region
  • Maintain quality throughout the logistics processes
  • Work collaboratively with partners in supply chain to have an efficient and successful logistics operation in all LLA markets
  • Responsible to build and manage relationship with external partners and suppliers
  • Responsible for the timely reporting of an emergency or emerging transport concern to management
  • Obtain shipment charges from relevant shipping and logistics stakeholders to facilitate documents preparation and clearance of inbound / outbound goods.
  • Preferred education / qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Logistics and / or International Business Management.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience performing functions in Logistics, Supply Chain or Procurement.
  • Experience in Telecommunications industry is a plus and any other professional certification will be of added advantage.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are essential as can be responsible for supervising, training and motivating employees to meet objectives for customer service and cost control.
  • Knowledge & Experience :

  • Extensive knowledge in the shipping and customs clearance process of goods
  • Knowledge of the Customs act within the country and duty structure for the country
  • Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential.
  • Skills & Abilities :

  • Experience in using SAP inventory module.
  • Manage internal Stakeholder’s relationships to control cost / budget, improve service and support strategic goals.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks.
  • Spanish is a plus.
