We are looking for an International Marine Service Engineer for the Pure Ballast Water Treatment Team based in Panama City, Panama .
The international marine service engineer is responsible for executing planned Service, Commissioning and trouble-shooting on board of vessels.
They are responsible for the overhaul, repair, fault diagnosis and on-site servicing of Alfa Laval equipment.
The purpose of his role is to help customers with technical operational issues by executing troubleshooting and field service requests received through the Global Marine Service Desk.
The activities will mainly be carried out as requested by the Global Marine Service Coordinators and will be primarily in the Americas regions but can also be in the other regions (EMEA and Asia).

Key Responsibilities :
Executing services jobs on board of vessels assigned by Global Marine Service Coordinator .
Diagnosis, resolution and reporting of solutions and improvements to definitively solve the problem even when third party's equipment or installations are involved.
Full autonomy in troubleshooting on board in all harbours in the region. If needed, sailing with a ship until problem is solved.
Ability to handle all major products and applications within the Pure Ballast Water Treatment Business Unit.
Performs on vessel troubleshooting
Ability and proactivity to get central help through ServiceNow or direct networking contacts and to report the findings to the rest of the team in order to keep colleagues informed.
Profile : Engineering degree, preferably Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical or Marine Engineering
Skills & Knowledge :
Knowledge of troubleshooting and automation.
Experience working as a Field Service Engineer, a plus if on vessels.
Fluent English and Spanish verbal and written.
Experience from working in an international context and across borders with colleagues and customers from other cultures.
Experience of working in CRM systems and planning tools
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in positions with experience with installation, commissioning and on-site servicing of complex mechanical equipment.
This position will be local contract.
