The Project Manager will be accountable to deliver on business outcome for our internal Philips Partners (Business, Market, Function) through projects.

The Project Manager is responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Project Manager will lead a variety of different types of projects including transformation projects, strategic projects, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.

You are responsible for

  • Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative
  • Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit
  • Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external stakeholders in matrix organization
  • Accountable for one or more initiatives including business, operational, and IT deliverables
  • Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with internal / external stakeholders to oversee all phases of a project and ensure compliance to defined standards
  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
  • Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
  • Develops communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilities
  • Manages conflict and drive team collaboration to achieve project results
  • Fosters excellent cross functional communications and integrates the work of multiple stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Manages the business case and is a business partner focused on maximization of the added value for the business.
  • Determines project risks, defines corrective action and drives the projects to closure.
  • Determines, allocates, and directs all project resources in accordance with guidelines
  • Responsible to report on the status of the project to the project governance bodies and ensure transparency
  • Manages changes to the cost, time and scope of the project through formal change control processes
  • Ensure continuous communication with all key stakeholders of the project and share the required information as per communication plan
  • Formulates E2E project plan, in accordance with the goals and timing, set by management; specifies the manning of the project, resources required, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used
  • Controls the project budget and project progress, evaluates all project initiatives as to feasibility, costs / benefits and added value, takes corrective actions when necessary and generates adequate reporting
  • Reports on project team performance to the hierarchical superior of the particular member or the purpose of appraisal and makes proposals for trainings
  • Responsible to manage 3rd party suppliers involved in the project

    Our Global Business Services (GBS) team. In line with Philips vital transformation strategy to become excellent in operational execution, reduce complexity and increase efficiencies, GBS acts as the in-house competence center for Business Services with E2E service lines across functions to accelerate continuously improved performance to better support our customers.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Admin, Engineering, Operations, or business-related subject required, Master's degree, or equivalent.
  • Has >
  • 5 years of relevant working experience, including experience in successfully managing various projects

  • Be strong at structuring complex tasks and coordination of complex processes
  • Good influencing and relationship building skills
  • Change management skills
  • Good process and data analytical skills
  • Being able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a pressurized environment and work proactively to ensure project milestones are met
  • PMP certificate (or equivalent) is preferred
  • Lean experience will be an asset
  • Excellent command of English (both verbal and written)
