5B, covering direct and indirect.

The Liberty Latin America Regional Category Specialist leads the sourcing activities for the global categories under his / her responsibility by executing the Tendering & Supplier selection, Contracting & Implementation and Contract & Supplier Relationship Management relevant activities for regional and global suppliers.

Ensures proper contracting for new and updated contracts and proper contract management for suppliers’ contracts and ensures proper supplier commercial relationship management for global and regional suppliers under the scope

What you'll do :

  • Results Planning & Recognition activities
  • Spend & Demand Analysis
  • Commodity analysis activities
  • Global pricing benchmarking
  • Definition of negotiation strategies and related alignment with all stakeholders
  • Sourcing Strategy Development activities (1 year and 3 year plan)
  • Accountable for Tendering & Supplier selection, Contracting & Implementation and Contract & Supplier Relationship Management activities
  • Realize Category contribution to the overall savings targets.
  • Optimize between risk cost flexibility / quality
  • Enable additional top line growth by shortening lead times, select best quality solution Return on investment
  • Improve cash flow by vendor financing and payment conditions
  • Responsible for Contract Management activities
  • Support the execution of Contracting & Implementation activities
  • Contract Management : Ensure proper contracting for new contracts and proper contract management for current contracts for the categories under his or her scope.
  • Supplier Management : manage Supplier Relationship Management activities in order to extract the most value possible from the agreements
  • Knowledge and Experience :

  • Academic background (Bachelor) : preferably in business administration or finance / procurement
  • Relevant experience in Strategic Procurement / Supply Chain / relevant Business
  • Hands-on experience with the following categories : Consulting Services, People Services, Travel, Supply Chain, Energy, Digital and Call Centers
  • Relevant experience in an international / multi-country / matrix environment
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with a strong focus on customer service and value creation
  • Preferably experience in relevant technological areas of telecommunications
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Relates effectively to people at all levels of the organization and with the Supply base
  • Excellent analytical skills, coupled with general business understanding and the ability to proactively identify new opportunities, building organizational commitment to act on these.
  • Excellent communicator and good (virtual) team builder with strong customer focus. Ability to work independently and take decisions as and when required.
  • Ability to work independently, in teams and closely with senior management team members.
  • Strong commercial acumen enabling the creation of compelling, fact based presentations that influence and persuade stakeholders to move and agree to the desired outcome.
  • Expert stakeholder manager, with the proven ability to establish and maintain effective working partnerships at all levels through taking a collaborative approach with a wide range of groups, including corporate departments and affiliates, vendors, as well as other external parties.
  • Leads by example in an open, friendly and honest manner, always leading with best practice.
  • Knows when to push for a solution and how to win people’s commitment
  • Deliver : Make it happen, put your head down and make decisions. Long term view in combination with short term needs : fine balance between relation and strategy
