What's the role :

The Senior Manager, Network QC & Eng. Construction will be in charge of the management of the plan, design, and build of access networks (Fixed & Mobile).

Insures QC and Engineering best practices for all Access Network Construction of New Build, Core, B2B and System Upgrade Projects

Knowledge & Experience :

  • Bachelor in Engineering or Information Technology and / or comparable technical engineering degree.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 year of experience in the Telecommunications and Network Design / Construction
  • HFC / FTTH / Fiber Network Construction
  • Knowledge and Experience in AutoCAD program
  • Office Software ( Excel, Power Point & Word)
  • Lode Data or other Design Software
  • Manage GIS program
  • Comply with documentation for B2B / B2C / B2G, New Build, Plan Relocation & System Upgrade Projects
  • Budget Management
  • Knowledge in Technical Aspects for HFC / FTTH / Core Networks
  • Interacts with Finance for Budget Purpose
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a large telecom in a complex operational environment managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience engaging effectively with executive and senior level management.
  • Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential.
  • Skills & Abilities :

  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, translating complex technical language into high level executive narrative.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, international teams.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse set of multiple and complex milestones and activities
  • Strong record of people management (direct or indirect) including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working partnerships at all levels through a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrate strong influencing and persuading skills, encourage colleagues and teams to change established processes and achieve improvements and best practice.
  • Timeliness in all actions with quality consciousness towards services received and provided.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to form strong business relationships across multiple locations.
  • Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and buy-in across geographically disparate organizations.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

    What you'll do :

  • Supports all Constructions for B2B, B2C, B2G, New Builds and System Upgrade
  • Cost analysis for New Construction & Upgrades
  • QC and Inspection assistance to new projects
  • Evaluate ROI analysis for projects
  • Insure New Builds comply with test requirements for operating levels as required
  • Comply with timeframe schedule for Construction projects
  • Interact local and central Design House
  • Knowledge and Experience in obtaining Local Governmental and State Permits Requirements
  • Most have experience in Design Map Recognitions
  • Review Bill of Materials and project costs
  • Knowledge on Budget review and management
  • Previous OSP design experience
  • Interacts and supports VPTO Technical fields service requirements
  • Comply local and regional utility pole attachment permits requirements
  • New projects review and evaluation
  • Comply with National Electric Code Spec s
  • Support Access Network Core Transmission requirements
  • Supports Head End Transmission requirements
