This role is responsible for supporting Quest’s Salesforce platform as well as the supporting applications in the Salesforce eco-system.
This position will work closely with the Salesforce Development Manager to ensure that deliveries are carefully planned, tested and released in a manner that supports test automation, deployment automation and a regular deployment cadence.
As Salesforce is the heart of our sales and service eco-system, your primary role will be as part of an agile project team responsible for designing and executing delivery of custom Salesforce solutions that are uniquely tailored to support Quest’s operations.
This role will interact closely with multiple product management teams, and other Salesforce professionals (analysts, developers, QA / Testers) and is ultimately responsible for the deployment of all Salesforce releases as well as the care and maintenance of all Salesforce environments (sandboxes).
You will also be executing on the CIBTD (Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment) framework used by the SFDC team via Copado.
Collaborate with leadership to develop release roadmap and resource plans
Build and maintain relationships with other Cloud Operations Managers to maintain consistent policies, processes, and metrics across cloud platforms
Enforce version control across in accordance with program management and change control teams, proactively supporting release management deliverables
Collaborate with Training, Product and Support teams to plan and deploy product releases
Work with Support organizations during incidents and post-mortem reviews
Manage changes between all Salesforce environments (new, existing, Future)
Plan environment refreshes and manage all Salesforce access inside Quest
Drive continual improvement through strategic and thoughtful solutions with an automation first attitude
Regularly maintain and update archived branches of all Salesforce environments
Develop a deep contextual system-level understanding (connections, dependencies, integrations) for all tools / systems / environments that are owned / supported by the Information Systems & Technology team.
Promptly identify and communicate operational concerns around the installation, integration, or usage of new or existing tools / systems within the Salesforce platform.
Solid understanding of tools and best practices for Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment Copado / Ant / Git / Jenkins
3 years minimum working in a deployment manager capacity
Deep knowledge of Salesforce Meta Data API and Salesforce release management techniques
Experience working with the Copado DevOps Platform is a major plus!
Hands on experience with SQL, ETL Tools, AWS, environments
Deep understanding of Data Protection, Cloud Availability, Backup & Restore solutions
Experience working with automation tools
Experience operating in a DevOps environment with fundamental understanding of continuous integration, pipeline automation and orchestration and tools like; GIT, Jenkins
Strong practical experience with ITIL processes and principles
Strong management skills, but also possesses the ability to contribute to in-depth technical discussions
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
