The Diversity Manager ensures that the DEAI vision and strategy is integrated in culture, systems, tools, policies, structures, and practices of the Institution and with the network.

The purpose of the position is to reinforce our Institution’s commitment to social justice, being diverse, equitable, inclusive, anti-racist and free of any forms of harassment.
The incumbent has work contacts with all STRI and SI employees, Fellows, Interns, Research Associates, Visitors, Contractors, Volunteers, and other affiliated persons to STRI and SI.
Purpose of Contacts
The purpose of contacts is to help the in the implementation of DEAI programs.
The work ranges from sedentary tasks at a desk in front of a computer to field expeditions in remote settings. Work requires physical exertion which may include hiking.
The work area is adequately lighted, and ventilated. Work may also be conducted at a variety of host sites, including forest field sites in the tropics, which may require varying degrees of risk depending on mode of transportation, climate, and conditions.
May also require international travel.
