Job Summary : Provides and directs the provision of nursing care for hospice patients based on the agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process.
Plans and implements the total palliative care of the patient in support of the prescribed medical team plan. Assists with and / or reinforces patient teaching.
Provides direct nursing care, with special emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms of the hospice patient. Provides nursing services to patient / family utilizing the hospice concept.
Participates in staff meetings and team conferences.
Minimum Requirements : Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
Minimum of one year of nursing experiences.
Must be able to work a holiday and weekend rotation.
Preferred Qualifications : Hospice certification preferred.
2-3 years experience preferred. Hospice experience preferred.
Licensure and Certifications : Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure. Current BCLS Health Care Provider.
