General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)
The Professional Field Operator is responsible for ensuring final concentrate quality, particularly moisture, which will be set and communicated by the Area Superintendent or Supervisor through a corresponding SOP.
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
A qualification from Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá or equivalent preferred.
JTA Certification as a Mechanic Technician or Engineer.
Driving license
Minimum 2 years of experience in Mechanical or related area.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Strictly follow and be in compliance with all company occupational health and safety policies and procedures, and all relevant regulations of Panama.
Actively promote Health and safety awareness amongst MPSA and contract personnel.
Report all personal injuries, incidents and Near Misses, and assist with investigations.
Actively participate in all required safe meetings and daily toolboxes, and support safety initiatives.
Follow & complete Risk Assessments (RA) & Standard operating procedures (SOP).
Constantly Monitoring of operating equipment and report any noted abnormal condition to the Control Room operator or the Area Supervisor.
Be pro-active and Perform on daily basis all necessary cleaning activities to keep the areas well preserve and organize.
Correctly use and maintain all personal protective clothing and equipment supplied by MPSA.
Properly communicate with team members and personnel from other department. Respect is a fundamental part of our operation
Assist and / or carry out logistical activities, such as transportation and / or driving of vehicles, personnel, materials, equipment and supplies to and from work areas, camps and other company facilities, as required by the supervisor.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Copper Concentrate Shift Leading Hand / Supervisor
Speak up in a proper and professional manner when there is a safety breach or possible risk associated to any given task.

Operational Requirements
Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.
Environmental Responsibilities
Comply with current environmental regulations in Panama
Comply with the commitments contained in the Environmental Impact Studies and other additional studies in this regard, which apply to your area and activities.
Comply with the provisions of the Minera Panama Environmental Management System.
