Job Description :
3M Panama Pacífico is currently looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for :
Responding to Customer Complaints assuring reported problems get a root cause analysis that prevents the recurrence of this issue.
Setting up containment actions to avoid more material escaping to our customers.
Processing and reporting of arising complaints.
Responsible for handling Non Conforming Product.
Monitoring of Product Quality compliance to Product Specifications and Customer Needs, Process Capability monitored at Statistical Process Control software.
Trend analysis and process improvement with Process Engineer.
Use of basic measurement equipment is necessary
Raw material complaints issuance to Suppliers. Follow up of Supplier complaint response and verification of implemented action plans.
NPI New Product Introduction & MOC Management of Change responsibility for Quality tasks
DOE Design of Experiments active participation involving dedicated work when DOE events happen (Aprox10-15 DOEs per year)
Waste reduction projects and other internal assignments
Full participation and in some occasions leading, on Kaizen, TPM, Lean Boot Camps
Technical support to Quality Technicians and other areas as needed.
Training on product acceptance criteria to all Production Operator crews, Quality Technicians, Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, Process Engineers.
Product and Process Audits. Internal Audits to ISO 9001 standard. CAPAs Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Average time distribution
70% time dedicated to work at production line
30% time dedicated to work on admin tasks
Other requirements :
Advanced English skills
Knowledge in SAP, Minitab, measurement equipment.
