Job Description and Responsibilities

Here is an exciting opportunity to establish and drive forward a hugely important set of enablement partners that are increasingly becoming a vital sales channel for Visa.

Your leadership will help to speed up the time it takes for Visa Issuers to identify and establish the solutions needed to rapidly take their next generation issuing programs to market, with leading payment value propositions and experiences.

You will work directly with the region’s most promising FinTechs, progressive Banks and critical Ecosystem Enablers to quickly deploy the next generation of payment experiences, innovation and use cases.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Processing and Enablement Partnerships Latin America, and aligned to the Global Processor Team, this position is responsible for creating and leading Visa’s key Ecosystem Enablement partners in the region.

This leader will specifically develop and manage the Processor Enablement strategy, Program Manager Strategy, identify and prioritize VAS / Visa innovation solutions for TPP education and deployment.

The role requires a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, its players, and payment technologies. This position is required to stay abreast of global trends and payment technologies and how these interact and support issuer strategies and challenges.

What you will do at Visa :

  • You must have experience supporting client relationships, an ability to drive the strategic direction and build strong partnerships with key solution partners.
  • Work with our preferred TPP’s to identify innovation and new use case strategies.
  • Identify and eliminate friction points that limit our ability to innovate and drive brand outcomes
  • Partner with Product to identify and prioritize the implementation of Visa solutions (VTS, PTP, Digital issuance ) for TPP integration and distribution.
  • Build and manage regional strategy and Program Management partnerships, across global, traditional, and Fintech players (issuing and acquiring)
  • Work closely with global, regional and market teams to develop, negotiate and execute commercial constructs and create win-win partnership agreements that drive VAS and brand outcomes
  • Development and management of reporting metrics for key partnerships.
  • Maintain knowledge of payment and industry trends, including innovations, new use cases, outsourcing versus insourcing, regulatory directions, current and new technology capabilities, open source environments, and disruptor impacts
  • Partner with Visa Client Services and Product Teams to respond to technical client challenges related to Sponsorship, issuer or acquirer processing, and provide SME knowledge on all issuance alternatives
  • Collaborate with issuer, acquirer and fintech client teams to construct end-to-end value propositions and solutions
  • Actively manage local / regional Sponsorship and Program Manager Players
  • Build and manage the inventory of regional players and capabilities; become the SME on end-to-end solution partners including leading commercial, investment, and / or M&A activities

    Primary projects and work streams you will lead :

  • Empower and lead Country Team’s to identify and establish suitable in-market partnerships
  • Establish and drive new regional strategic partnerships
  • Support key Fintech and Bank partners to shortlist and select suitable partners to launch new issuance programs with speed through third party enablers
  • Identify and propose strategic investment opportunities in Enablers
  • What will you need?

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.
  • g. Masters / MBA / JD / MD)

  • Strong client relationship, sales, and project management skills
  • Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
  • Personal executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders and clients
  • Strong expertise in partnership deal structuring, negotiation, and execution
  • Analytical skill and personal drive to identify and pursue new opportunities
  • What will also help?

  • Ideally 5 years of experience working for or with BIN Sponsors, Program Managers, Issuer Processors or white label payment solution providers
  • Strong knowledge of issuer processing, trends, and dynamics including ability to technically assess and engage with processors, Financial Institution clients, fintechs and neo-banks, program managers, and all related technology players
  • Strong knowledge of the Latin America region and the comparative position of regional ecosystem enablers

    Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours

    Travel Requirements :

    This position requires the incumbent to travel for work up to 50% of the time

    Physical Requirements :

    This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
