Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization :

Overall manage all LAM Supply Chain Management responsibilities related to the strategic process, development, implementation, and execution of Global SCM Strategy and Initiatives.

The LAM SCM strategy must complement the commercial strategic direction, enabling SCM to be seen as an indispensable partner for future business success.

Please note this is a temporary position, based in Panama, for a duration of 8 months.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the execution of a 5-year strategy roadmap for the LAM SCM organization.
  • Lead, influence, and manage the alignment of both commercial and Global Operations short- term and strategic goals working with the Retail and the Digital management teams.
  • Direct the identification, prioritization, and delivery of the LAM regional initiative portfolio. Ensuring business cases, timelines and deliverables are in line with LAM business objectives.
  • Support the creation of SCM LAM Strategy from DTC and eCom perspectives by providing input from LAM retail and digital business to enable LAM DTC growth plans.
  • Foster and Facilitate collaboration with LAM Digital, IT team and SCM operations to secure a consistent and effective execution approach.
  • Direct the development of centralized support activities including data and analytics across LAM SCM to fully leverage the scale, maximize our investments and reinforce one version of the truth ’ principles.
  • Develop strong working relationships and communication lines across the complete supply network, that ensures effective communication and consistency between expectations and capabilities.
  • Develop a strong team, provide training, coaching, professional growth, and career planning to ensure organizational health and success.
  • Ensure robust succession plans for own- and first- line roles are actively maintained and used.

  • Deploy agreed strategic decisions on infrastructure topics with Global Logistics and Distribution team. Act as the single point of contact for the multi-country Market to Global stakeholders to establish alignment of objectives and strategies between Global and Market LAM.
  • Lead fulfillment Centers projects from a regional perspective including but not limited to new FCs, Expansions, and new technology implementation.
  • Secure successful Go Lives, within budget guidance and given timeframe.

  • Align smooth execution and harmonization of global and regional SCM processes with reduced complexity, increased transparency, and clear accountability to ensure a rapid implementation of global solutions and to foster standardization of logistics processes in the region.
  • Lead change management in SCM by developing operating strategies, plans or procedures to maximize standardization, simplification, and centralization.
  • Manage to utilize functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact to facilitate problem solving and decision making in SCM.

  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the supply chain E2E process and warehousing management.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to coach, guide, manage and develop others.
  • Strong skills for project management including efficiency, planning and organization.
  • Able to formulate and socialize a strategy based on fact and analysis and translate it into action.
  • Ability to identify and manage diverse relationships with key stakeholders to build a broader network map and drive change.
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and lead the continuous improvement.
  • Ability to take decisions in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to support assumptions of final analysis, share ideas and influence Senior Management
  • Expertise in promoting and applying continuous improvement (problem solving, process improvement) tools and services.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a winning culture, creating the conditions for teams to perform at their best.
  • Fluent English (verbal and written).
  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive work experience in leadership positions in Supply Chain Management.
  • Project Management and Change Management experience.
  • Ideally from the Consumer Goods Industry or Retail Business.
