IT Support Engineer (PAN)
We are searching for an experienced IT Support Engineer (PAN) at our Panama facility.
Primary Role and Responsibilities :
Troubleshoot system and network problems by diagnosing and solving hardware / software issues at first level support.
Resolve the IT requests and Incidents ensuring a timely and effective assistance.
Monitor network to ensure continuous availability to all system users and perform the required maintenance.
Evaluate new equipment purchase requests, such as laptops, desktops, and peripherals, following the established standards.
Assist the IT teams, by providing physical stand and redirecting tickets when necessary.
Support the New Hire process with equipment assignments.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related scientific field.
Minimum 3-year proven experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with Windows / Linux / Mac OS environments
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
Excellent verbal communication skills. excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact
confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
Fluent in both English and Spanish.
Desired Qualifications :
Technical certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Unix, and Cisco are highly desirable.
Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
