Job description : Purpose
The Helper is responsible for providing assistance with the road construction and maintenance.
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Ensure fellow employees work in compliance with H&S (e.g. isolation, lock out and tag out), quality and environmental standards and procedures.
Actively participate in HSE initiatives.
Provide assistance as directed to do specific tasks
Actively work to attain the project schedules
Report to Road Supervisor or assigned Heavy Equipment Operator progress of daily tasks, necessary tools and materials needed, with particular emphasis on compliance with specific safety rules and quality standards
Cleaning of areas and equipment before, during and after work to ensure a safe environment and quality work.
Remove water from flooded manholes or basements.
Promote a positive employee environment ensuring a continuation of a solid working relationship with all employees.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Foreman Projects
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
A high school certificate.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or maintenance operations in heavy industry.
Fluency in Spanish is required and proficiency in English highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.

Cobre Panama is a remote site and the position is offered as Residential or BIBO
