The role

Are you a good fit for the Regional Service Manager position at Damen Services? Now or in the near future?

As a Regional Service Manager, you are, within your region, responsible for all service activities of Damen Services. You, as Regional Services Manager, will be part of the Service America team, managing strategic accounts in Central America and will make sure that we meet the needs of our customers by offering and executing excellent services.

As Regional Service manager you will closely cooperate with the Sales department and contribute to the sale of vessels by delivering an outstanding service performance.

This is a good fit if you like to do the following :

  • Function as one single point of contact for the customers;
  • Holding consultations with the (potential) clients about the technical, functional and other specifications of the possible assignment;
  • Manage complex relations with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Gather market information on the assigned region to prepare and implement a business plan;
  • Monitoring project progress and timely identification of deviations from specifications and contract.
  • Skills & experience

    We ask our future Regional Service Manager to come prepared with the following :

    You have :

  • A bachelor’s degree, Marof, Shipbuilding or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Or a bachelor’s degree in business administration combined with relevant experience in a technical environment;
  • At least 5 years of experience in handling complex accounts;
  • Business knowledge for combining technical, logistical, and commercial aspects of assignments.
  • You are :

  • A pragmatic, persuasive Regional Service Manager with a solid personality, fitting within a dynamic organization with a hands-on culture;
  • Result-oriented, a " Regional Service Manager " with initiative and management skills;
  • Mastery of Spanish and English;
  • Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders and clients;
  • Decisive and at the same time flexible in your approach and works methodically;
  • Able to influence, put things into perspective and also knows how to have the patience that is sometimes needed to achieve results;
  • Well able to manage expectations.
