Major Duties and Responsibilities Create and execute unique and dynamic room settings within the corporate vision that sets us apart from other major furniture retailers Develop and maintain the proper classification and adjacency flow by department Maximize selling space and merchandising potential in each store Review sales by classification before determining any major floor moves to properly effect sales Ensure and adhere to all Company safety and security practices Continually critique and challenge your own merchandising approach to ensure visual excellence.
Remotely communicate through technology in order to execute visual merchandising directives and product changes with store teams according to the corporate brand vision and process.
Develop store specific action plans for new product placement and presentation based on company directives in advance of execution.
Ensure stores are aware and adhere to all corporate visual merchandising directives Communicate with all designated stores, on a weekly basis, to remotely direct visual merchandising actions plans with stores and field leaders.
Follow-up with all designated stores, on a weekly basis, to ensure successful set-up of remote visual merchandising action plans.
Monitor, assess and guide store teams to create and maintain company directives and brand standards. Review and report status of visual presentation with VM Manager and store field leaders to ensure awareness and support through documented VM recap process.
Visit stores to ensure and elevate visual brand standards at all times. Follow up with adjustments to remotely executed presentation that elevates the overall look of our stores.
Follow-up to identify and correct all on-site visual inconsistencies with store teams. Communicate and train store teams on creating and maintaining company visual brand standards.
Demonstrate new visual merchandising techniques to store teams. Address store specific merchandising concerns and challenges with store teams.
Identify additional store specific visual merchandising opportunities to support increased sales. Effectively communicate with Visual Merchandising Manager : Contribute new recommendations that improve our merchandising effectiveness Submit all expense reports in a timely manner for approval All full-time visuals are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week Part-time visuals to be determined on an individual basis Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to use technology to remotely communicate and direct all aspects of presentation in stores.
Significant computer knowledge required, including Video conferencing applications, web and mobile based applications, Microsoft Outlook ,Word, Excel Ability to develop constructive relationships throughout the stores and effectively communicate both remotely and on-site with district and store line management Confident in variety of merchandising situations / challenges and effectively address them in a timely manner Strong knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and strategies Strong product knowledge of all furniture lines and accessories Strong influencing, communication and decision making skills Strong multi tasking and time management skills The ability to anticipate merchandising concerns before they occur and take appropriate action to correct them Ability to accept merchandising direction for self improvement and company objectives Ability to travel when necessary for existing and new store opening
