Job Summary : Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes.
Minimum Requirements : High School or GED. Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing or Diploma Program. Evidence of successful completion of a basic EKG course or ability to successfully pass PMC course exam upon hire.
ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Completion of Critical Care Orientation Program (ECCO) within eighteen (18) months of hire.
Trauma Nurse Course within one (1) year of assignment to department; within two (2) years if currently assigned to department.
Four (4) Trauma related continuing education credits per year (ACLS, APLS, PALS, ABLS 4 hours for 2 day provider; 2 hours for 1 day refresher).
At least two (2) years recent RN experience in Med / Surg required. Evidence of successful completion of a basic EKG course or ability to successfully pass PMC course exam upon hire.
Basic computer skills, data entry required.
Preferred Qualifications : Associate Degree Program or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
At least two (2) years recent RN experience in Telemetry / Critical Care preferred. Critical Care Float Pool : Two (2) years of telemetry experience required.
Must maintain current CPR certification
