Job Duties and Responsibilities
The dedicated Professional Services consultant is assigned to the end user for the duration of this agreement. He / she will work with the end user to define the specific daily activities, which include but are not limited to :
Lead client staff in designing, implementing and supporting Fortinet products
Development of methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades and update
Create, development and implement comprehensive test plans
Evaluate and test new features and / or new FortiOS releases
Create and Verify Fortinet product configurations to be implemented.
Lead client staff in implementing Best Practices on Fortinet solutions
Performing interoperability evaluation of devices that interact with Fortinet products.
Create general knowledge transfer documents and lead client sessions
Be able to travel domestically and international as needed
Provide professional, timely onsite technical services for clients, including network security design, testing, deployment, optimization and management services.
Delivering general knowledge transfer to end user staff.
Work with customers remotely and onsite; develop statements of work; track and report status
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
5-8 Years’ experience in LAN / WAN / Internet Support or Administration
5-8 Years’ experience with Network Security Products
Solid understanding of general security and networking principals and technologies such as :
Switching, Routing and the OSI model
Firewalls, VPN, Anti-Virus and Content Filtering
Intrusion Detection and Prevention
Strong general knowledge of common networking and security protocols and applications such as : TCP / IP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP, DNS, IPSec, PKI, OSPF, RIP, VLANs
Well Developed and Effective communication and presentation skills
Ability and competence to write technical material for training, white papers using applications such as Power Point, Word and Visio.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle confrontation when necessary.
Ability to travel internationally if needed.
Extensive travel, up to 70%
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related work related experience
