Job Description

The Service Transition Engineer is responsible for proper handoff management for all Technology projects, with a focus on helping the areas of Engineering in the transfer of solutions to Operations.

He / she will act based on technology project plans and delivery requirements

This position is responsible for planning, document, and delivering all entertainment and connectivity projects to Operational areas.

Establish overall handoff scope, aligned with the technical solution from engineering team.

Manage communication of progress within the core team and external stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary.

Coordination of wide range of cross-functional internal and external resources to ensure that programs are within the scope and on schedule

Actively participates in the key planning of program milestones and drive alignment to these milestones

Review program plans regularly and clearly communicate program status, including program risks and their mitigation strategies

Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

Preferred education / qualifications :

Bachelor level, Industrial / Electrical / Electronic / Information Technology and / or comparable technical engineering degree.

Knowledge & Experience :

Ideally educated to degree level or alternate appropriate industry experience.

Demonstrable experience of 4 to 6 years working in a large telco in a complex operational environment

Proven experience engaging effectively with executive and senior level management.

Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential.

Skills & Abilities :

Proven experience in the management of highly complex technological projects.

Understanding of high-level technology for technical solutions.

Ability to define and plan tasks to operate and monitor technical solutions, able to anticipate future scenarios or changes and modify the plans

The key is to have proactive and clear communications with the direct line of reports for the progress of the project, contingencies, plans / alternative solutions

Has the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, translating a complex technical language into a high-level executive narrative.

Proven experience in the management of technological projects.

Ability to promote improvement programs in diverse and complex environments.

Proven ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work partnerships at all levels through a collaborative approach.

Demonstrate great influence and persuasive skills, encourage colleagues and teams to change established processes and achieve improvements and best practices.

Punctuality in all actions with quality awareness towards the services received and provided.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to establish solid business relationships in multiple locations.
