General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)

The role works closely with the JD Edwards stakeholders and Business Key Users of Cobre Panama, and is responsible for the JD Edwards implementations / Support function related to Finance solutions at Cobre Panama.

Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance / Engineering / Supply Chain or related field desirable (but not mandatory);
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant JD Edwards Finance implementation and / or configuration experience;
  • Support-level knowledge of JD Edwards version 9.0 or later.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, users and JD Edwards team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to supervise, train and mentor staff.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize work and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality and attention to detail.
  • The ability to perform consistently under pressure and deliver results.
  • The skill to communicate effectively and consistently.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proven ability to implement procedures and handle different types of users.
  • Analytical and methodical thinking and execution.
  • Customer and Solution oriented
  • Fluency in English is required with competency in Spanish highly regarded.
  • Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables

  • Manage the day-to-day Project tasks to ensure that all requests are completed within commitments and within the appropriate quality standards.
  • Plan, manage and communicate the leave and rotation schedule of the team to ensure consistent, accurate and high quality service delivery to the JD Edwards community.
  • Plan, communicate and execute the development of Own appropriate skills and knowledge of JD Edwards.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and management of a JD Edwards Support Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Identify the need for new or improved JD Edwards solutions based on feedback from stakeholders or Business Key users.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Stakeholders and business Key users across the current and potential future JD Edwards community at Cobre Panama.
  • Adhere to Cobre Panama Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

  • Operational Requirements

    Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position focuses on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.

    Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.

    Environmental Responsibilities

  • Comply with current environmental regulations in Panama
  • Comply with the commitments contained in the Environmental Impact Studies and other additional studies in this regard, which apply to your area and activities.
  • Comply with the provisions of the Minera Panama Environmental Management System.
