Job description : Purpose The Data Capture will support the Medical Clinic by updating Medical Data. Key Accountabilities and Challenges · Accurately capture and enter all relevant medical orientated data.

  • Accurately transcriber all medical data from files directly to available applications. · Ensure a high standard of data quality through accurate timely data validation and quality assurance · Export data on a daily basis and attend to data queries timeously · Apply Good Clinical Practice principles to all work done, including maintaining strict confidentiality of patient data · Interact with colleagues and project management to ensure fulfilment of project objectives · Interact with doctors, nurses and support staff to capture relevant subject-related information · Filing and administrative duties, as required · Perform any other duties as assigned by Clinic Superintendent.
  • Education, Experience, Competencies & Skills Education o Secondary Education o Tertiary Degree would be advantageous Experience Experience in data collection and capturing.

    Medical Data Management Experience with data capturing or collection in a health systems research environment or within the public or private health sector would be advantageous.

    Familiarity with the public health sector and district health system would be advantageous. Competencies and skills Fast and accurate data capturing and entry skills Computer experience in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word.

    Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to liaise with people at all levels, internally and externally Good facilitation and communication skills Ability to speak, read and write English would be advantageous Sensitivity to cultural differences, confidential and ethical issues pertaining to patient information o Advance Excel Computer literate (Microsoft) · Computer Systems Experience would be advantageous · Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.

    This role will work closely with the HR Superintended responsible for Data & the Medical Superintendent. Safety and Environment · Participate and contribute to safe practice and environmental awareness.

  • Ensure all Safety and Environmental incidents are addressed & reported promptly. · Demonstrate personal commitment in regard to safety and environmental practices.
  • Identification of potential hazards and action that is appropriately taken. · Maintenance of a high standard of efficiency, safety and effectiveness.
  • Raising, discussion and resolution of safety issues at regular meetings.
