What's the role
The Cloud B2B, Sr. Engineer will be in charge of the acivities relate to Planning, designing, implementing and optimize hosted multi-tenant private and public Cloud solutions with focus on Infrastructure Compute, Networking, Storage and Virtualization Layers, supporting all regional business units.
Will also work with B2B Operations team, service delivery and support teams to define best practices customer onboard procedures and tools
What you'll do :
Execute all technical product phases to develop and support the B2B cloud portfolio, such as : technical understanding about the new commercial needs, evaluate different technology vendors, perform the high and low-level design, tests and elaborate the technical product documentation.
Also, the engineer is responsible to check from the technical perspective the life cycle product, suggest and perform the enhancements and new capabilities.
Validate, design, build, support, and maintain a modern cloud solution environment including the appropriate elements of networking, network controllers, Overlays, automation, orchestration and management tools.
Robust set of skills in implementing, operating, configuring, and troubleshooting in Multi-Cloud Environments.
Align the customer and product needs on technical roadmap for hosted Cloud, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS Solutions across all LILAC regions.
Define technical solutions in a multicloud environment for converged infrastructure at B2B datacenters IAAS, PAAS and SaaS involving Compute, Networking, storage platforms datacenter infrastructure that fulfills the requirements of the products portfolio.
Design, install and hand over to operations the converged infrastructure to support IaaS, PaaS or SaaS delivery models.
Monitor and track key indicator on capacity and performance.
Contribute to Capex, Opex budgeting consolidation
Identify, research and propose new tools or standards to optimize the multicloud environment.
Participate in a tiered support model for highly impacting network related issues and events, interact with vendor / partners on escalation and support
Follow the InfoSec guidance to ensure Governance, Security, Data Privacy, compliance best practices are implemented.
Identify, research, evaluate and recommend best practice to ensure the appropriate operation on a multicloud environment based on runbooks, automation, and orchestration.
Knowedge and experience :
Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Security, telecommunications).
5+ year of experience in the fields of design, install and support large scale Datacenter Architectures, mainly based on Intel X.
86 platforms, and / or public cloud solutions.
Cisco CCNP Datacenter or similar certification (could be based on public clouds) and strong knowledge in other vendors including IBM and HP.
Strong technical skills with one of the following virtualization vendors : VMware, KVM, Openstack, Azure, AWS.
Proficiency with networking, tcp / ip, DNS, DHCP.
Experience with load balancers, Virtual Networking, NFV, DCI, Software Defined Networking, and WAN architecture.
Basic Programming constructs, basic Python / Perl
Rest / Web Services and Ansible knowledge are preferred.
DevOps knowledge are preferred.
