What's The Role?

The Senior Manager Technology Strategy is responsible for leading the efforts on the Technology Strategy & Architecture definitions at long & short-term, and defining Architecture roadmap and High-Level Design (HLD).

What You ll Do

  • Responsible to ensure all projects following and align to the overall architecture roadmap
  • Ensure and engage all required teams as part of project initiation
  • Gather requirements from all the teams to perform the vendor selection, and define the acceptable vendors to be deployed, ensuring the proper leverage across areas
  • Execute the Governance in tandem with Service Delivery of the projects received
  • Transfer the projects to Engineering to be executed
  • Work with the rest of the teams to build complete LRP
  • Execute and lead the Short-Term (by project) and Long-Term (LRP) Strategy
  • Lead the Constant Improvement Cycle between Short-Term and Long-Term Strategy
  • Lead the effort for Orchestration with IT
  • Lead the Technical Committees
  • Work in tandem with all the Strategy Teams to align the Technical on STS (Short Term Strategy) and LRP
  • Create, maintain, and adjust the budget assigned to the entire Direction
  • Work with Product Development providing the correct design and strategy for the projects received
  • Knowledge & Experience :

  • Master knowledge of Network design and best practices
  • Knowledge on the main core network elements, applications and signaling protocols in IMS networks.
  • Knowledge on fixed and mobile core network applications
  • Knowledge on Virtualized Network Functions
  • Management and Network Orchestration / Automation knowledge
  • It’s a plus if : Broadband (DSLAM, MSAN, IP core, Software Defined Networking, BRAS), WiFi, TV and Metro Ethernet operation knowledge strongly desired
  • Understanding of base Telecom KPI’s and planning details such as : ASR, ACD, Availability, Capacity planning, Erlangs / Erlang B, Grade of service, etc.
  • Ability to understand main Telecommunication standards (ETSI, ITU, 3GPP, IETF, IEEE, etc)
  • Experienced with network protocols, including CAMEL, MAP, INAP and SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN, Radius, Diameter etc
  • Experience with Network Elements software releases upgrade / new features rollout
  • Experience with network elements consolidation projects
  • Knowledge about transmission networks (SDH, PDH, Radio, etc)
  • Data management (relational and objects databases, streams, blockchains)
  • Knowledge about OSS (provisioning, fault management, performance Management, xDRs mediation, fraud management, revenue assurance, quality, etc) and BSS (billing, service assurance, ordering, fulfillment, etc).
  • It is a plus to have experience with Machine Learning / Deep Learning / Computer Vision / Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality algorithms and techniques.
  • Great knowledge about systems integration, Service Delivery Platforms, APIs, etc
  • Agile Software Development management knowledge and certifications are welcome (SCRUM, Agile, Scaled Agile, etc)
  • IT knowledge, preferable TM-Forum
  • Must have a strong understanding of all Microsoft Office applications, including Visio and Project.
  • Experience with Tableau, Excel pivot tables, Database SQL data pulls is a plus.
