Remarks :

This role works closely with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Portfolio Lead for Markets Technology to manage all the aspects of resource forecasting for the Markets Technology division.

As part of resource forecasting, this role will work with Program Managers, Project Managers, Team Leads and extended Business Management team to ensure positions are created and appropriately forecasted.

Additionally, this role will assist in monitoring the portfolio data to ensure it is accurately reported.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Actively manage creation of requisitions and forecasting against the approved portfolio
  • Develop and actively track coordination of approvals of requisitions
  • Monitor quality of forecast data and provide appropriate guidance on all aspects of resource forecasting to Program and Resource Managers
  • Partner with other COO groups to share best practices
  • Provide portfolio resource reporting as necessary and assist in project and program reviews
  • Support Senior Business Managers to develop content for various forums and meetings with senior audiences including : Monthly Business Review Meetings, Scorecards, townhalls, etc.

  • Actively manage strategic initiatives of significant impact for the business or function supported (a unit within a business or business partner)
  • Manage highly complex special projects related to budget, business plans, risk-related items, regulatory items communications (presentations / speeches), and implementation of policies, standards, processes, and / or strategic projects
  • Analyse project implementation status and provides feedback to Principal Planning Consultants or senior managers
  • Solve complex issues in implementation to make recommendations for improving the project status
  • Lead initiatives within the business / function
  • Work closely with senior management to understand their needs and provides appropriate guidance, direction, and communication
  • Work with the business / function management team to implement and enforce policies, standards, and processes that require in-depth knowledge of business or function roles and organizational design
  • Plan and administer business-led programs such as people-related management, global location strategy, meeting management, etc.
  • Contribute to the achievement of area objectives
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; MBA is preferred
  • Eight to ten (8-10) years of experience in financial services or business partner function is preferred
  • At least 3 years in project management or applicable business or function and cost-effective budgetary responsibility
  • Experience in the securities industry is a plus
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to follow through on assignments
  • Analytical skills and judgment to escalate issues / concerns when appropriate
