General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)

Reporting to the Foreman Warehouse, the Administrator Receivables is responsible for ensuring that the processes for receiving and paying external suppliers are managed and completed accurately and on time within the agreed period and in accordance with FQM group policies and guidelines The role is primarily concerned with developing and maintaining strong commercial relationships with the Company's suppliers.

Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or equivalent training and in heavy industry preferred.
  • 3 years related experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail with developed sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Good written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Ability to undertake the manual duties of the role.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, power jack and / or other lifting aids and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
  • Basic understanding of databases and basic knowledge of Ms Office.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Spanish highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable
  • Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables

  • Receives all inbound shipments into database system.
  • Works closely with the Accounts Payable to ensure efficient and timely receipt and payment of warehouse items.
  • Implements procedures to track monitor and expedite the payment of supplier invoices.Follows up, investigates and resolves administrative issues relating to outstanding invoices and supplier shipments that are yet to be processed.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the warehouse, wider Commercial team, and all areas of the Operation.

    Ensure timely and direct communication with Accounts Payable, end users and external suppliers.

  • Undertakes nominated training activities to maintain and up-skill required competencies.
  • Control, report and reduce operational costs, and ensure cost consideration taken with all decisions
  • Perform other related duties.

  • Operational Requirements

    Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.

    Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.
