quality operations and development projects in eight countries across five continents.
With a strategic plan to produce more than 1 million tonnes per annum of copper within five years, the Company is poised to become the largest, widely-
held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world.
Delivers HR service and support to the Division.
Works closely with other Department Managers to develop and implement correct policies and processes as well as the introduction of new initiatives and programs.
Works with the HR Manager and other Department Managers to standardise conditions and pay scales across the site.
Manages the recruitment and selection process for the areas of responsibility.
Manages the HR team to ensure smooth operation of the HR function for your part of the Operations.
Takes responsibility for the preparation of employment contracts and letters of offer and associated paperwork for your area of responsibility.
Co-ordinates the induction process for new employees.
Co-ordinates the required medicals for new hires and existing employees.
Provides ongoing coaching and counselling to managers in HR principles and practices for the effective management of employees.
Gives advice on workforce planning, retention programs, and business structure.
Deals with the administrative aspects for employees separating from the company.
Ensures timely delivery of accurate data.
Responsible for management and maintenance of employee data.
Works with the HR Director and site HR Manager to implement new systems and processes in accordance with company policy.
Additional scope :
Builds relationships with other HR team members across the Group.
Builds and maintain a network with external HR practitioners.
Qualifications and experience :
Tertiary qualification in HR or related field.
5 - 8 years' experience in HR, including employee relations, training & development, compensation, recruitment and management experience.
Prior experience of working in Latin America.
Spanish an advantage.
