We are looking for a Procurement Analyst for Latin America to join our Ocean Procurement team, based in Panama City, Panama, as part of our Ocean Customer Logistics and Global Procurement organization, reporting into Head of Port Expenses Procurement for Americas.
You will be a part of a dynamic, exciting and transforming environment, with the ability to contribute to Maersk’s customer journey, in the Ocean Procurement role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage vendor portfolio in scope including sourcing strategy, stakeholders management, and 6SS execution.
Point of contact for Execution teams on contractual terms and cost implication of business decisions.
Point of liaison for Procurement with Functional teams and FBPs on Scenario Building and Situational Analyses.
on spend analysis, TCO / TVO building, behavioural modelling, playbooks, contract compliance, contract simplification / standardization.
Support on strategic projects and collaboration which could be across Port Expenses, Strategic Terminal Partnering Portfolio, including in-house APMT investments in AMR, with aim of expanding collaboration across Terminals, as well as new investment projects to expand Maersk s footprint, in Americas or investment / volume for equity and partnerships with 3rd party Terminals
Conducting assessments for new investments / divestments, analysis on complex competitiveness, current and future network demands that could impact attractiveness of evaluated investments
Have a clear ability to think beyond just cost, and look at long term value driven solutions on Group projects, including Digital, performance improvement, cus-tomer centricity, ESG, S2P process standardization agenda through future looking contracting
Lead and support AMR Port Expenses (PE) Game Plan performance management.
Lead AMR Vendor Performance Management : participate in weekly / bi-weekly operational meetings with PE vendors, vendor performance scorecard / dashboard support for all AMR Port Expenses (PE) category.
Procurement lead towards the Cost Rejection Process and lead vendor engagement for escalation process under scope
Manage contractual process of bound rate changes (eg. CPI and wage changes).
Own engagement with P2P, COTF and other global initiatives that require sourcing transformation in terms of processes.
Ensures Procurement Contract Handover process adherence and secure benefit realization maximization : Rebates, Sliding Scales, Bonus, Penalties.
Drive digitalization and standardization of processes in terminals procurement.
Who we are looking for :
Minimum Bachelor’s degree;
Working proficiency in English language
Highly analytical, data science driven
Demonstrated project management capability
Comfortable with large data sets & possess sharp analytical ability
Expertise in financial modelling
Process improvement skills
Experience with digital procurement tools is preferred
Experience with ESG / environmental and sustainable procurement is a strong advantage
3+ year experience in shipping preferred
