Job Description

As the Senior Manager Equality, Inclusion and Diversity (EDI), you will guide and influence the EDI strategy for Liberty Latin America, and drive the execution of company-wide EDI initiatives.

You will be responsible for partnering across the organization to support a shared vision, principles, and strategy to ensure EDI is at the forefront of Liberty Latin America processes, decisions, teams, and ways of doing business.

This role will also be responsible for providing EDI input into training and education programs, as well as partnering across the People and Communications team on key initiatives and moments that matter.

You will directly collaborate with business leadership and teams to improve equality, diversity, and inclusion at Liberty Latin America.

  • Providing a central point of coordination and ensuring broad engagement and input in the creation of the EDI global strategy as well as driving initiatives in alignment with the strategy
  • Advise, mentor / coach, and guide all levels of leadership to build cultural competence and inclusive leadership skills to further embed greater equality, diversity, and inclusion across the organization
  • Driving EDI engagement and education across the business
  • Offering consultative support to ERGs and local EDI communities across the business as well as leading engagement with the EDI Advisory Council
  • Driving accountability by measuring and analyzing results, highlighting areas of strength and improvement, and identify action steps to remedy
  • Providing consultative support to identify opportunities, interventions, and initiatives for improvement
  • Building strong relationships to develop a deep understanding of the business and to increase awareness and understanding of EDI as a critical business imperative
  • Driving cultural change in support of Liberty Latin America's ability to attract and retain world-class diverse talent
  • Recognizing and responding to regional needs by providing tailored strategies and solutions to enable appropriate cultural awareness and change
  • Collaborating with the full Communications team to create and drive a strong communications strategy, positioning EDI as core to our business and aligning with our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts
  • Develop and manage a global internal and external strategy, messaging plan, and story in support of EDI targeting both the trade and mainstream media.
  • Additionally, execute an internal strategy that energizes, educates, and communicates program initiatives and successes to a globally diverse internal colleague base

  • The role’s deliverables will include, but are not limited to, a robust internal and external communications strategy, executive positioning, presentation and messaging support, campaign support, internal events, partnership development, and other special projects
  • Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is critical
  • Strong knowledge of the Liberty Latin America business and how it works, business acumen, project management skills, successful teaming with colleagues
  • Results focused and resourceful leader who is capable of quickly taking control of his / her responsibilities and establishing himself / herself as a credible strategic partner and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues, and overcoming hurdles to results
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team members, peers, and leadership
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a can-do, positive attitude
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal awareness and skills with emphasis on empathy, supportiveness, ability to have uncomfortable conversations, listen, and take action
  • Possesses a keen understanding and awareness of his / her own diversity and how it impacts and influences their role
  • Multi-national experience or familiarity with local and / or global employment regulations is a plus
  • Experience, knowledge, and interest in EDI as a driver of business success
  • Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
