General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)
Reporting into the Superintendent Training the Supervisor , Mine Training manages the activities involved in the assessment, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of training and development programs for Cobre Panama mine .
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
High School Diploma
Minimum 5 years experience as Heavy Equipment Operator
Minimum 5 years experience as mobile equipment trainer .
Demontrated experience in providing training in the following equipment : Trucks - T28, Trucks - 740ADT, Trucks - 777G, Loaders - L2350 and Excavator - PH 4100
Valid drivers license.
Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to present to individuals and or large groups
Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
Committed to continuous improvement
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other programs utilized for training tracking purposes.
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Conducting training & development for Mine Mobile Equipment Operators and ensuring all persons working on site are duly authorized, appointed, and skilled.
Improving the overall operational skill level.
Facilitate learning based on site requirements through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, hands-on training, on-the-job coaching, and virtual or computer-based training.
Meets with Operations, Plant, Maintenance and Warehouse on a regular / daily basis to identify near term ongoing mobile equipment training needs.
Schedules training to identify meet skilled training needs. Works with department management to identify training / transfer opportunities.
Conduct weekly new employee and contractor orientation programs. Completes all sign offs and documentation.
Maintain site training records including an up to-date list of individual qualifications.
Works with site equipment trainers to train all new employees and transfers (cross transfer) to assess individual trainee training needs.
Perform other duties as required.

Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements.
