People & Know-How : Ensure development of own packaging competencies and support the development of other Packaging specialist.
Source & utilise training materials available within the Group (or develop training materials as appropriate). Create synergies through effective networking with business partners on plant.
Innovation, Renovation : Foster for packaging innovation in collaboration with R&D, Marketing, suppliers and external partners.
Anticipating competitors in Market by means of incorporating new packaging developments in the plants and in the región Central America.
New Product Development & Introduction : Support Packaging projects & Lead trials at Factory level with focus on line performance, cost efficiency on time delivery and product quality.
Provide packaging input within the AGs proposing and evaluating best packaging alternatives for new products and improvements to existing products.
Innovate packaging solutions to enable the launch of the best new products and winner promotions.
Safety, Quality & Compliance : Ensure that Nestlé Quality Policies are fully implemented in the market / region, including CoCs for all packaging materials & the implementation of appropriate monitoring plans.
Ensure full compliance with local / international legislation (export SKUs) on packaging material & operation. Ensure the knowledge of all procedure and policies about SHE and applying it in all working enviromental.
Also report unsafety conditions into Nestlé facilities.
Sustainability : Drive packaging material reductions and other solutions to lower the environmental impact of our products & packaging.
Develop awareness at market level to reduce the environmental impact of our product & packaging - promoting a holistic approach.
Develop Nestle s sustainability commitments
Packaging Specifications : Ensure implementation of Purchasing Specifications within GLOBE with appropriate training for the local packaging team, and promoting harmonisation wherever possible (Corporate rules, maintenance of spec database, ensuring vendor approval etc)
Packaging Material and Packaging Lines : Ensures functional compatibility with packaging equipment and overall efficient manufacturing operations
Nestle Continuous Excellence : Conduct value analysis; identify and recommend cost improvements and source reduction opportunities.
Make a benchmarking analysis about packaging components and proccesses with the aim to identify efficiency and packaging saving project.
Alternative Material Approval / New Supplier Development : Support Packaging Head Office and Procurement in the selection, assessment and development of new suppliers / converters.
Raise packaging material complaints with suppliers & collaborate to resolve them."
Lo que te hará exitoso
Graduate in Packaging or Printing Technology, Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent.
Broad experience on packaging development and project management
More than 6 years of operational / R&D experience in a packaging or engineering position
Proven ability to interact with scientific / technical experts and commercial colleagues.
Good understanding of the business environment
Advanced level of English
