Job description : Purpose As part of the Mining ? Engineering High / Medium Voltage department and reporting directly to the High Voltage Electrical Superintendent, The High Voltage Electrical Engineer is responsible to ensure that all electrical jobs, projects, maintenance and repairs meets with the Panamanian Electrical Work Standards and laws.
This position will identify, eliminate, mitigate and / or control any electrical safety condition and develop electrically safe work procedures.
This position will develop scope and execute electrical projects within the HV Electrical Department. Key Accountabilities and Challenges · Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Ensure the HV Electrical Department operate with compliance to applicable electrical standards and laws of Panama. · Ensure the HV Electrical Department installations comply to applicable electrical standards and laws of Panama.
Develop standard safe working procedures and actively participate in HSE initiatives. · Identify and asset reliability risk that could adversely affect equipment availability or mining operations.
Work with the Reliability department to develop action plans to eliminate or mitigate asset reliability risk. · Review parts holding for the HV Electrical Department Assets and make recommendations to the H Superintendent.
Use Site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best industry practices. · Use Site Approved Lock Out Tag Out safe procedures.
Provision of technical support to maintenance personnel. · Develop scope and execute electrical projects. · Provide technical support to the electrical team.

Perform any other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge & Experience · Education · Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering · Degree recognized by JTIA at the level of Electric Engineer or Electromechanical Engineer.
Skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Excellent cognitive and analytical skills for identifying maintenance corrective and preventative actions.
Strong understanding of compliance to electrical standards and Panamanian law with regards to electrical work and installations.
Strength in the development of scope and execution of projects. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Experience · Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability and experience in preventative maintenance. · Language Fluency in Spanish & basic English.
