This position could be based Panama, New York or London
The Head of Procurement is a hands on leader who is able to think / work tactically and strategically and is deeply involved in the day to day operation and is also able to develop the long term strategy and procurement department.
Establish and lead the organizational procurement strategy and plans for all business units and needs.
Develop benchmarks and scorecards to identify best purchasing deals
Develop, implement and monitor the procurement goals and KPIs
Analyze procurement data and implement actions to reduce costs while improving the overall quality of purchased goods and services
Create, implement and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines, policies and best practices.
Identify and implement procurement systems aligned with company goals and strategy
Partner with other Departments to identify and select third party services.
Negotiate service and product purchasing agreements
Forecast operational needs and schedule deliveries accordingly to meet the hotel’s operational requirements
Lead the continuous improvement process to improve global procurement efficiency
Support the creation of annual purchasing budgets
Bachelor degree in business administration, industrial engineering or similar
10+ years in procurement leadership positions in a multinational
Hospitality & Tourism experience (preferred)
Global procurement management experience (preferred)
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to navigate among diverse tasks
Ability to manage time and responsibilities
Knowledge of file management
Focus on solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Knowledge of English (written and oral)
