Job description : Purpose

Purpose

Reporting into the Commercial Business Improvement function, this role will require both creative and collaborative working with the Commercial area and the wider business.

The role will involve managing the integration of all Commercial data systems to enable digital transformation across the department.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges

  • Responsible to develop integration between all Commercial related data systems (ERP, Data Warehouse, Third party systems)
  • Responsible to be key user during implementation of new systems, understanding of the data and third-party software
  • Perform initial analysis to assess the quality of the data
  • Assist Commercial team with systems support during implementation of new systems, as required
  • Responsible for ensuring ERP data is integrates accurately into the Data Warehouse and work closely with the IT team
  • Carry out data analytics in ERP data, with a focus on Procurement, Logistics and Expediting data
  • Responsible for developing Supply Chain visibility of the logistics network where possible
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting tools, and establish ad-hoc reporting to enhance department efficiency
  • Responsible for analyzing data and generating monthly dashboards / reports to ensure
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements as required.
  • Preparing reports based on analysis and presenting to management.
  • Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
  • Develop standard safe working procedures and actively participate in HSE initiatives.
  • Carry out formal workplace inspections on a routine basis.
  • Ensure work is executed in compliance with H&S, quality and environmental standards and procedures.
  • Adherence to IT policies and processes to ensure consistent quality of service and responsiveness.
  • Consider cost saving measures without compromising service delivery.

  • Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Education A Tertiary qualification in Computer or Engineering, degree in statistics, mathematics, Supply Chain or a related subject involving maths, such as economics or data science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within all levelsA high level of mathematical abilityProgramming languages, such as SQL, Oracle and PythonAbility to analyse, model and interpret dataProblem-solving skillsA methodical and logical approachAccuracy and attention to detailStrong ability to adhere to standards, work with limited supervision, and meet deadlines for service delivery.
  • Strength in planning and organisation.Strong experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment.

    Ability to work to a high standard under pressure in a sometimes stressful environment.Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Experience Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in large or international environments.Hands-on working experience of SQL reporting servicesHands-on working experience on MS SQL serverProven experience communicating face-to-face with customers collecting requirements, implementing and providing technical support.
  • Experience with Tableau and other BI platforms desirable.
