Job description : Purpose


  • Reporting to the Management Accounting Superintendent, this position will be responsible for creating dashboards, visualizations, algorithms, and business tools for use across the organization.

    Key Accountabilities and Challenges

  • Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
  • Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the process plant control room.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define data and Business Intelligence requirements
  • Use Power BI to transform, load and visualize data from numerous sources
  • Set up and manage recurring report schedules
  • Contribute to and implement results via concise reporting, visualization and dashboard solutions
  • Design executive and operational dashboards comprised of auto-refreshing reports targeted to the proper audience
  • Author and design documentation, assess technical feasibility for proposed solutions
  • Implement FQM Way culture in the Control Room team - "Bolder, Smarter, Driven, Together."

  • Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or computer science


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.

  • Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience

  • 5 years PQ of hands-on business intelligence experience
  • 5 years PQ professional experience working with SQL in complex data warehousing instance
  • Proven experiences in translating user requirements into creative and interactive visual dashboards, catering to the Executive Management
  • Experience in data mining; experience using business intelligence tools; experience with relational database design, development & documentation.
  • Should have good knowledge on data preparation, modelling, quality and governance frameworks
  • Is comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Possess exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and business staff across geographic areas
  • Experience in data mining; experience using business intelligence tools; experience with relational database design, development & documentation.
  • Language

    Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Spanish highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.
