General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)
Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient management, maintenance, and safe operation of the equipment and personnel in the High Voltage / Medium Voltage Electrical or Infrastructure sections of Mine Maintenance department.
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Develop standard safe working procedures and actively participate in HSE initiatives. Identify, eliminate, mitigate and / or control any electrical safety condition.
Oversee and lead a team of electricians to consistently deliver and exceed the main KPIs of timely maintenance and repairs using best practice maintenance techniques and procedures on electrical distribution systems & mine cables to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and performance-optimized.
Undertake daily corrective actions through formal workplace inspections. Supervise and participate in planned and breakdown maintenance plans on all electrical systems.
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance plans are scheduled via a computerized maintenance management system. Lead and direct the personnel in your team in the execution of daily work activities ensuring that proper safety practices are followed.
Manage daily workload priorities based on equipment and production requirements. Drive the team's focus to achieve equipment availability targets through efficiencies.
Ensure works order compliance for all activities undertaken by the team. Prepare and maintain daily records and reports regarding work performed including detailed analysis of equipment condition and recommendations on continued operation hazards and risks.
Continuously analyze equipment efficiencies to recommend and implement improvements and changes to maximize operations. Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, single line diagrams, and any other vendor-supplied technical information, included but not limited to installation, operation and maintenance manuals.
Prepare detailed estimates including labor and materials, and prepares lists of materials for improvement projects. Maintains current knowledge of equipment and materials through self-study and training.
Prepares and maintains a variety of records and paperwork regarding work performed. Transmit and explain work orders; revise order based on material needs or modifications to assigned work due to material delays or other problems.
Order parts and recover from onsite warehouses. Ensure team members have relevant training, competency, and authority prior to undertaking activities.
Conduct regular performance feedback with team members to promote areas for improvement and follow-up. Track and report continuous improvement activities to deliver improved operational performance.
Execute duties with a focus to control, report and reduce operational costs. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
