Provide design and drafting services, coordinate the activities of other design personnel and ensure quality control of B2B design work for network systems.
Supervise the B2B design department group. Support the Engineering and Construction Department as well as the Operations Department on any projects that may require his / her assistance and / or those for the Commercial Business department.
Key Accountabilities :
Supervise a group of designers
Review optical transmission designs.
Perform network planning and manage Networks connections.
Implement new developments and support technical standards.
Support design efforts for HE and other transmission applications.
Maintain and optimize detailed design.
Support QC for design.
Interact with centralized designers.
Support VPTO for field service.
Maintain design inventories.
Coordinates walkout and reviews.
Implement improvements and best practices.
Interact with house files and recording.
Responsible for maintenance of system maps.
Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy.
Demonstrates and ensures compliance with all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct.
Demonstrates and ensures compliance with Liberty safety standards and procedures

Knowledge & Experience :
Preferred education / qualifications :
BS in Computer Programming, Electronics or equivalent experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Network Fiber design experience
Knowledge of National Electrical Codes, FCC regulations and telecommunications transportation.
Knowledge on Telecommunications, especially on cable, telephone and Internet.
Computer Literate, knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Skills & Abilities :
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).
Strong supervision skills with the ability to mentor, lead, train, and motivate employees to produce quality work.
Strive to achieve successful results as a team.
Must be able to use an engineering copier.
Must be able to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
Must be able to manipulate and move large design drawings (24" by 36").
Domain in electrical and electronics.
Good analytical problem-solving abilities.
